Spring comes a little early

On this balmy day in the League the Ballyfoole Light Artillery prepares for the Springtime festivities when Ballyfoole and the rest of the Soweiter League celebrate the Vernal Equinox, St. Patrick's Day and Easter.
The artillery officer commanding the battery is Captain Denis Finn McCool O'Leary.
Cannons are one of my least favorite things to paint. Lots of fiddly bits between and around the wheel spokes, separating out metal bits from wood bits, and it's rather mechanical, not much character.

You seem to have brought some life to the guns.

I'd say they were positively brilliant!

Your guns look very good, sir. I don't know what you're grousing about, the results speak for themselves.

I saw a *lot* of 54mm looking far less good - compliments.

Thanks, guys! The guns produced by the Offenbach Tubaworks are painstakingly and meticulously handcrafted by old world craftsman in the time-honored tradition, one by one. They sell no gun before its time. LOL

Like Lucky Jack Aubrey I "dearly love a gun" and those are excellent!
