Google Reader is being closed down

Sorry for the off-topic post, but Google is reporting that they are closing down Google Reader. According to Google not enough people use Google Reader to make it worth their while to keep it going. So my question is how do people keep up with all the blogs they read? I'm not particularly adept with the tech stuff, and especially not with all the various "social media" type things, so I'm looking for alternatives that are pretty easy to use. If anyone reads this and has any helpful advice please let me know. Thank you!

I'm with you guys - I follow hundreds of blogs and the thought of having to go to each of them individually casts me into a pit of despair.... :o))

I did some very brief research - I think we have until July - and one article that looked like it might be worth checking was

...as the readers have put lots of alternatives in their comments....

I'm looking at some of the options, Feedly is one that seems to be getting a lot of attention. The Old Reader is another that looks promising as it's apparently pretty much a clone of Reader.

"With difficulty" is my answer... Never seem to have the time or energy these days, sadly.

Cheers,
