Currently I am painting Foundry sets with the minis they come with. I don't expect to add more minis to each unit, but I will confess I know next to nothing about the real organization and history of this period. I intend to read up on the history (because I enjoy that).
At some point, if I get around to any gaming I'll adapt the rules to the troops or vice versa, without creating large 60 or 70 figure units like some of you (hardier campaigners than I am!)! I enjoy painting, but I don't want to spend a lot of time painting up hordes of the same guys, and I don't have space for large units anyway. There are character minis and leaders on horseback in most of the sets so we'll see how it works out. :-)
Bottom line is a hobby is for fun and relaxation, and shouldn't become a chore. :-)

Very good-looking fellows. Nice work.

They are really nice!

Very nice- as pleasant as the drawings, something I was unable to achieve in my painting days...
Super looking chaps. I especially like the flag

Gorgeous! Will you be adding more figures and/or a mounted colonel to the unit?
