Troops Begin to Return after Holidays

The full crew of the Offenbach gun have returned from their Winter holidays.

And the first crew member of the Batrachian gun preps the gun in anticipation of the crew's return.

And finally, a couple of grenadiers from Ober-Umlaut.

Very nice. I like all of these figures. You certainly do a much finer job of figure painting than I do.

I salute you!

Very well done, as usual!

now, perhaps my memory betrays me (age, age...) but "Ober-Umlaut":? Don't remember it in the OOB of the League?

The Batrachian artilleryman looks quite good; may be you kept the dark grey for the Bossanovian artillery?

Cheers,
Jean-Louis

Thanks guys!
I'll not be painting big battalions at my painting speed (not that I would have space for them anyway!).
Ah, Ober-Umlaut, ruled quietly by the Markgraf Otto von Ober-Umlaut and easily overlooked next to some of the more colorful states of the League (kind of like Delaware or George whatshisname of the Beatles - lol - although it is home of the fabulous Neueganzstein castle). Yes, it's one of the original members of the League.
Yes, dark gray/black is reserved for Bossanova (in the event I ever get it into my head to paint up some minis for that "underhanded nation of misbegotten no-good ne'er-do-wells, dastards and poltroons" and "where the men are shifty, the woman are loose, and the vermin are served up with toadstools and a rancid butter sauce" (as described in Michelieu's Guide to the Vile States of Lower Uropa).

I understand the 'works' of Offenbach may be needing these stalwart men...

They and others from the league may have to get into action soon!
