Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Ballyfoole is preparing another expedition to further explore the wilds of Afrodesia. In the meantime I'll leave you all with a bit of poetry.
From G.K. Chesterton's The Ballad of the White Horse (Chesterton was also the author of the Father Brown mysteries in the first half of the 20th century.)
"For the Great Gaels of Ireland
Are the men that God made mad.
For all their wars are merry,
And all their songs are sad."
Or, as Arthur Guiterman wrote in The Young Celtic Poets:
"For the Young Gaels of Ireland
Are the lads that drive me mad;
For half their words need footnotes,
And half their rhymes are bad."

Here, here!
I have always been a fan of GKC, he is magnificent.
"He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative."
