Thirteen and One Half League

Soweiter - The Soweiter League, named after the village in which the details were hammered out by delegates from 13 small states, has been formed for mutual defense and trade. Soweiter, by virtue of its location in the midst of Hasenpfeffer-Heisenberg was the meeting place for this historic event.

  • The Principality of Saxe-Goldberg, Furst Rudolf von Saxe-Goldberg and Prinzessin Ruby
  • Saxe-Urquhart, Earl Angus MacHaggis of that ilk
  • Hesse-Pfeffernusse, Graf Hansel von Pfeffernusse
  • Pfennig-Pfarthing, Prince Peter Pfeiffer von Pfennig-Pfarthing and Princess Penelope
  • Hesse-Offenbach, Graf Georg Friederich "Fritz" von Offenbach
  • Ober-Umlaut, Markgraf Otto von Ober-Umlaut
  • Ballyfoole, Prince Seamus O'Toole and Princess Caitlin
  • Saxe-Waldorf, Hofmeister Wolfgang von Stadtler-Waldorf
  • Santa Sofia, Conte Luigi Funiculi-Funicula and Contessa Rafaella

Excellent start ... will let you build small units of almost any European era and play them in one army.
Perhaps, you ought to now consider the personalities ... who's the schemer? Who's the megalomaniac who wants to subvert the whole thing? Who's the irreducibly naive character who always gets taken advantage of ... but some how always come up smelling like roses? Who runs the really scandalous court? Who's so crazy that Bats are ashamed to live in his belfry?

Jeff,
I will send you my info.

Arthur,
Good questions! I have made some notes, mostly just names without a lot of thought to personalities yet. Some of the personalities will likely come through when I get to minis.

For the rules I've been working on for our group's play, all generals have a "personality".

This is determined via the roll of an 'averaging die' (i.e., numbered 2,3,3,4,4,5):

5 = Political
4 = Aggressive
3 = Steady
2 = Cautious

Now this probably won't work for your personalities . . . but something similar might.

Imagine coming up with an appropriate number of 'personality types' appropriate for these characters (if you could come up with a dozen, use a d12, etc.) Then you could dice for their various characters.

Of course, feel free to alter any that don't seem right to you.
