How I make the maps:
I draw the maps out on paper first with pencil, "ink" the pencil drawing with an ink pen, scan the result, do a lot of clean-up in Photoshop or Photoshop Eelements, bring the result into Illustrator and Live Trace it, then do more work to color in different parts, then bring the layers from Illustrator back into Photoshop where I do further processing, making some layers transparent, etc.; November 15, 2008 at 5:08 PM
